Jo is a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated leader, having held executive positions across operations and governance, with the public, private, and charitable sectors. She has led high-profile services to deliver important public policies in criminal justice and immigration sectors.
Jo is passionate about developing leaders of the future, regularly mentoring and coaching individuals, and teams, and is setting up the Nugent Academy to expand this passion.
In 2023, Jo was presented with the Trusted Executive of the Year Award, becoming the first female to receive the award. In 2024, Jo was presented with the CEO Award at the Women in Business Awards, hosted by Downtown in Business.
Alongside her role as CEO of Nugent, she is also:

• Member of Board of Trustees – Emmaus UK
• Chair of Governor’s – Wirral Met College

In her family life, Jo is a foster carer.
