Kat Collins

Areas of expertise

Day opportunities, Community Development / Connection, Learning Disabilities & Autism & Co-production

Kat Collins

Regional Day Ops Manager and Community Development Lead

Kat manages several Day opportunities for Adults with learning disabilities, Autism and enduring mental health, across Hertfordshire for the charity Camphill Village Trust.

She believes that day opportunities should look at the whole person and play a meaningful part in someone’s life. They are not just social spaces, though that does play a part, but opportunities for people to develop a craft and to obtain skills so that they are not excluded from work or the wider community.

Kat’s other role is Community Development Lead,  where she ensures that people supported by Camphill Village Trust are fully involved within their wider community, making connections that open up work (both voluntary and paid ) possibilities, and ensuring their voice is heard.
